Privacy notice
What we collect, why we hold it, who we share it with, and what we do with vehicle condition photographs.
Last updated: August 2026.
Trident Commercials Ltd (company number 16404867) provides vehicle recovery, roadside assistance and vehicle transport from Hersham, Surrey. This notice explains what personal data we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect
- If you call us: your name and phone number, your location, the vehicle and its registration, what has happened to it and where it needs to go.
- If you enquire through this website: your name, phone number, email address, the vehicle, the route and your message.
- If we carry out a job: the job record, the collection and delivery addresses, photographs of the vehicle’s condition where we take them, and the invoice.
- Location: if you send us a map pin or a what3words reference so we can find you, we hold it for as long as the job takes.
Why we hold it, and our lawful basis
- To get to you and do the job. Performance of our contract with you, and steps taken at your request before entering it.
- To answer an enquiry or quote. Your consent and our legitimate interest in responding.
- To prove what condition a vehicle was in. Our legitimate interest in defending a claim, and yours in being able to make one.
- To meet legal duties. Tax, accounting and road transport law all require records to be kept.
Who we share it with
With the garage, bodyshop, storage yard or address the vehicle is being delivered to; with your insurer, broker or breakdown provider where they are instructing or paying for the job; with the police or highways officers where a recovery is from a scene they are managing; with the providers who run the systems we use, including the form service that delivers messages sent from this site; and with anyone we are legally required to tell. We do not sell your data.
Vehicle photographs
We photograph vehicles at collection and delivery to record their condition. Those images are kept with the job record and are used only to answer a question about that job. We do not publish an image of an identifiable vehicle, person or address without asking first.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become jobs are deleted on request. Job records, condition photographs and invoices are kept for the periods required by accounting and tax law, and for as long as a claim could still be brought.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict or stop using it, and ask for it in a portable format. Call 07988 108863 or email info@tridentcommercials.uk. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
Please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
